Become a Contributing Writer

Location: Remote (Preference for candidates in the EST or CST time zones)

Commitment: Part-Time, 5 hours per week

Compensation: $150 one-time stipend for workspace setup

Responsibilities

  • Write and deliver one engaging, well-researched newsletter article per week (approximately 1 page).

  • Cover topics aligned with Charlie’s Toolbox, such as:

    • Self-help and mental health strategies.

    • Personal development and career advice.

    • Empowerment and resilience building.

    • Navigating life challenges and fostering self-love.

  • Develop content that resonates with diverse audiences, particularly highlighting perspectives from underrepresented voices.

  • Collaborate with the editorial team to align content with Charlie’s Toolbox’s tone and values.

  • Meet weekly deadlines and respond to feedback for revisions promptly.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing skills with a personal, authentic tone (think chic, NYC dinner-party conversationalist meets life coach).

  • Experience writing about mental health, personal development, or related fields is a plus.

  • Ability to conduct research and present actionable, insightful content.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with newsletter platforms like Substack and Wix.

  • Collaborate on campaigns that highlight the platform’s unique voice and values, focusing on self-help, mental health, and career development.

  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and understand audience needs.

  • Build partnerships with aligned brands and influencers to expand reach and engagement.

  • Track and analyze key performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing, branding, or communications, preferably with digital platforms or content-focused businesses.

  • Proficiency in marketing tools such as Mailchimp, Canva, or similar platforms.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • A creative mindset with the ability to align marketing strategies with brand goals and mission.

  • Familiarity with diverse audiences, particularly within Black communities, is a plus.

  • A passion for self-help, personal growth, and community-driven initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and engagement strategies.

Event Marketing Manager

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for one digital event per quarter, increasing brand visibility and audience engagement for Charlie's Toolbox.

  • Plan and manage digital events from conception to execution, ensuring each event aligns with the platform's values of self-help, personal growth, and mental health.

  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and community teams to ensure seamless integration of event messaging with the brand’s overall content strategy.

  • Coordinate event promotions across multiple digital platforms, including social media, email marketing, and the website.

  • Identify and build relationships with key event partners, sponsors, and influencers to increase event reach and engagement.

  • Analyze key performance metrics for each event, providing actionable insights for future digital events.

  • Ensure all digital events are executed within budget and on time.

Qualifications

  • Experience in event marketing, digital marketing, or communications, preferably in the digital or content-focused industries.

  • Proficiency with event management platforms (e.g., Zoom, Hopin, etc.), social media, and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp).

  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Creative thinking and ability to align event strategies with brand goals and audience needs.

  • Experience working with diverse audiences, particularly within Black communities, is a plus.

  • A passion for self-help, personal growth, and community-driven initiatives.
